Single Female looking for Herd or Companion

C Updated

Our Story

My beautiful Poppy is a ~5 year old female. Healthy her whole life. I am a lifetime guinea pig owner and am facing the dreaded end-stage guinea pig ownership phase. Poppy had ~2 cagemates (1 male, 1 female) at different points. One cagemate passed of old age (8 yrs) and the other a genetic condition. Now, Poppy is alone and my job demands travel. I simply want the best life for her.

She is NOT a submissive pig. She has lived with a submissive female and took on the dominant role. Then she lived with an older male and they were on equal playing fields. If you are looking for a submissive female to cohabitate with your single boar, Poppy is not the pig you are looking for. She will is very independent and opinionated. She will likely do well with young females, submissive females, or elder males who will not mate. She is not spade.

I am not in a rush to find her a home. I am looking for the right family who Poppy will fit in with.
