Delilah & Rosie Up for Rehoming

J Updated

Our Story

Delilah (3 years old) and Rosie (9 months old) are a bonded pair of guinea pigs looking for a loving home together. They are both very vocal and will happily squeak whenever they hear someone walking by or the sound of a bag opening. They have big personalities and are always excited when they think treats are coming! Both girls are very cuddly once you have them out, although catching them can sometimes be a bit of a workout. Rosie is still shy and startles easily, so she will need plenty of hiding places where she can feel safe. She doesn't like sudden movements and needs a patient owner who will let her build trust at her own pace. Delilah is much more confident and relaxed, and she definitely takes on the role of the “leader” in their relationship. During mealtimes, Delilah tends to eat much faster than Rosie and will often try to steal Rosie’s food if given the chance, so it’s important to monitor them while feeding. Delilah can also be a little bossy and may nip if Rosie gets too close while she’s eating. Despite this, they truly love each other and are very attached. Rosie is the one who becomes vocal if Delilah is out of sight, and she will squeak to call for her companion until they are reunited. Rosie also isn’t a fan of peppers, while Delilah turns her nose up at bananas. Delilah is a little overweight, so maintaining a healthy diet and encouraging exercise would be beneficial for her. Because of their dynamic, they will need a 2x5 C&C cage or larger to ensure they both have enough space to be comfortable. I will also be providing a blue hide, as it is Rosie’s absolute favorite—she always chooses it as her safe spot and sleeps in it regularly. These girls are wonderful guinea pigs with lots of love to give. I care about them deeply and want to find a home that will keep them together and give them the time, space, and affection they deserve.

Rehoming because

When I bought them I didnt realize that i was allergic to them, and the hay, so the past few months have not been fun for me. I am also not always available, and as the summer is coming I will have less availability. I want them to find a home that is loving, responsible, and has the time to care for them (and not allergic to them of course!)
