Tricolor Male Abyssinian Guinea Pig
Our Story
Meet Nut. He is a beautiful and friendly Abyssinian Guinea Pig (about 1.5 years old) who is looking for his forever home. He is super sweet and loves to snuggle! He’s tame and does not bite, but he has not gotten along with other male guiniea pigs in the past.
I have another guinea pig at home that he was living with for around 6 months; however, once Nut got older and bigger, their bond, sadly, broke. They are currently living separately. Someone previously tried to pair Nut with their guiniea pig, but that not work out either. Unfortunately I think Nut will have to housed alone.
Ideally, I would have Nut and my other piggie living separately side by side, but I honestly don’t have the space for that. I love Nut so much, and it breaks my heart to let him go, but I want him to have a happy life with someone with a little more experience dealing with male guiniea pigs.
Ideally, I would want him to go to a home that is knowledgeable about guiniea pigs (especially bores). Bores require a large cage, so I would ask whoever is interested to keep that in mind. I just want the best for Nut and I want to ensure he’s going to a loving home that will provide him with all the love and care he deserves! :)
** Extra info: He was living with another skinny pig in a 6x2 c&c cage (with 2 lofts), fleece bedding (they are now separated in separate rooms). Food: hay daily and pellets as needed. Snacks: veggies. Vitamin C drops in the water. His favorite snacks are carrots and lettuce!
Please feel free to message me with any questions! Thank you!!
