The 2 best pigs that anyone could ever have

Seamus Guineagan and Hamilton FancyPants have been a special part of my little family. We made the big move from Michigan to Colorado together, and they’ve both adapted in their own unique ways.

Seamus was originally an only child, and with a sassy dachshund as his buddy, he became super social and pretty much runs the show. After moving to Colorado, we adopted a kitten, and unsurprisingly stills holds his own. If the cat tries to get a little too rough, Seamus will just get in his face and let him know who's boss.

Hamilton joined us shortly after Seamus and is my sweet, shy boy. However, don't let that fool you- his excitement is contagious. Hearing him squeal at the top of his lungs with joy when he knows I'm nearby is simply the best feeling in the world.

It is heartbreaking for me to write this. They are loving, laid-back, and have brought so much laugher into my life. Unfortunately, with all the inconsistent and last-minute travel that I'm required and more recent spatial concerns, I can't give them the consistent care and stable environment they deserve. At 3-4 years old, they're the perfect pair for someone who wants to welcome guinea pigs into their life without the full commitment of a longer lifespan.
