Our Story

Pierre (Abyssinian) and Alfredo (American) are a lovable pair of 3-4 year old male guinea pigs. They have sweet dispositions. They enjoy being stroked under the chin, behind the ears, and over the nose. Alfredo also likes his back stroked, though he's ticklish. I will include several bags of hay, dry food pellets, and bedding for whomever adopts them. They love having floor time outside of the cage, and they both enjoy carrots, kale, parsley, basil, celery, dandelion greens, arugula. Alfredo does not care for cilantro, but Pierre likes that as well! They are

Rehoming because

I originally bought the two guinea pigs during the pandemic to help my youngest child have companionship and learn about taking care of animals. The responsibility of the guinea pigs turned out to be too overwhelming, so for years I've been taking care of them instead. Because I have two children, four cats and a full-time job, it has been too much for me at this point, especially because I will be going on a book tour for a year and will be away from home more often.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
