3 Female Guinea Pigs (Rehoming)
Our Story
Included with Guinea Pigs if Wanted: Prices TBD upon inquiry. I am planning on rehoming my pigs with everything they currently have. I have several fleece blankets and washable rugs I use as the base of their pen. There pen is a puppy play pen I found on Amazon (has no bottom I have a plastic mat I use to protect my flooring). I have loads of pee pads, toys, hides, treats, 2 large garment bags I use to wash their bedding and hides, water bottles, bowls, etc. Any food they have remaining will be included with them. I store my bag in a secondary container so I won’t provide any remaining hay.
Our Story: In September 2024 I adopted my first two guinea pigs (Posie and Fern). They quickly became my companions during a really scary time in my life. Shortly after adopting them my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I also was going through a break up at the time as well. I devoted a lot of my time to them. I let them roam around my apartment everyday while I cleaned their cage. They’d sit in my lap and watch TV with me. Fern even wheats at me every time I come home wanting to explore or get treats. Then in March 2025 I adopted an Abyssinian guinea pig. I very slowly introduced her to the OG piggies and by May they were my herd of mini sassy piggies. However, September 2025 my mom’s health declined insanely quick. I started to notice I wasn’t on top of spot cleaning the pigs “piggy palace” like I used to be. Then November my mom passed away and I haven’t been giving them the time and care they deserve. In December or January I thought getting them a new “piggy palace” that’d be easier to clean would help. That briefly worked but my mom’s birthday is in January so all those feelings took over. I’ve tried setting reminders and tweaking how I care for them, but I’m just not providing the life I used to provide for them. I love them with my whole heart but I’m mentally not in a place to care for them like the deserve. It’s not fair to them that I keep them just because I love them. I also don’t want them to be locked up in a cage or in a room so the cats don’t get them. My pigs love to explore, especially Fern and Lily, so I don’t want them to never be able to explore again. I’m hoping I can find them a better home where they get the care and attention they deserve.

Rehoming because
I feel rehoming my guinea pigs would be the best decision for them. My fiancé and I are moving in together and he has cats. Knowing his cats I think it is very likely they will try and get after my guinea pigs. The more I think about the more I believe my main reason is I can’t provide them with the home and care they deserve.Timing
