Our Story

Gilbert is four-year-old , and is in excellent health. He comes with a generous supply of hay, his food pellets, a water bottle, guinea pig mats, two beds, and a two-story cage equipped with a ramp, and a yoga mat to put underneath his cage to prevent lines from forming in the carpet.

Rehoming because

I’ve had Gilbert, my guinea pig, since I was 17. He’s always been a sweet and unproblematic companion. While he doesn’t enjoy being held for extended periods, he does appreciate being petted. Surprisingly, he’s quite social with children, but he usually prefers to relax alone. He’s content as long as he has access to fresh fruits, vegetables, hay, water, and food pellets. Unfortunately, I’m joining the military and won’t be able to bring him along. I do not have any family members who could take him in unfortunately.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
