3 Year Old Bonded Male Pair with C&C Cage!

G Updated

Our Story

In the summer of 2021, I adopted Gus, his original name, from Alameda after I moved to San Jose. His former family was rehoming him due to a move to Hawaii. When I first met him, he was in a small broken cage with a whole cucumber that was slightly gnawed. Gus used to have a buddy named Alvin that I adopted from Berkeley Animal Services, but he sadly passed away in late 2022. I adopted Soybean, formerly named Honey, from San Rafael in early 2023 as a new buddy for Gus. Unfortunately, Soybean's brother had passed away and his family, especially the young daughter, lost interest and wanted him to form a bond with another male pig. I was shocked to see that his nails were overgrown and curled.

Flashforward to 2024, Gus and Soybean have been living together for approximately 1.5 years and while they occasionally squabble over food, they get along swimmingly and enjoy each other's company. In the morning when I feed them their pellets, they like to eat together. While they do not often share a hide together, Gus often likes to lay outside of the enclosure that Soybean is in.

They will come with a large 2x5 C&C cage that my friend built for me as well as another slightly smaller (roughly 2x3) cage that you can use to put them in when you're changing their bedding. Additionally, there will be two hideouts, two water bottles, two food bowls, a large bag of pellets, a large fleece blanket, tons of treats, and more!

These are two very good boys that deserve a loving home. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and your consideration. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Rehoming because

Unfortunately, I am currently living in an apartment that has water damage and mold. The rental management company has yet to relocate me after nearly 2 months. I am worried about my boys.

Due to my mental health and physical ailments, I am unable to care for them as well as they need. They truly deserve the best.
