Pistachio and Chip Need a Home!

A Updated

Our Story

Hi! I'm Amelie, I have two younger sisters, and the three of us have taken care of Pistachio and Chip thus far.

Chip and Pistachio have quite the origin story. To start, we had two "female" guinea pigs that we purchased from a pet store. However, since the pet store misidentified the sex of the second guinea pig, the two had babies. One day, we come home to meet four baby guinea pigs, including Chip and Pistachio, the brothers. The boys are very sweet and shy, and they have never bitten or scratched any of us. They don't mind being held, but again, they are timid, so you have to catch them first.

We've had Chip and Pistachio for a little over three years, but now, we feel as though we're not offering them as much love and attention as they probably need. This comes at an especially critical time, since I'll be leaving for college in the next year, and it'd be extremely helpful for my two sisters at home to take care of two less guinea pigs.

Rehoming because

While we loved having Pistachio and Chip as part of our family, we feel like we are not giving them all of the love and attention they need. We would love to find a new owner, who could dedicate the emotional and material support for our sweet guineas. We also have a cage for the guinea pigs that we'd be more than willing to provide to the future owners. We're not interested in making a profit off of Chip and Pistachio; we just would love for them to have loving owners. Hence, we are listing them for 15 dollars each, and an additional 5 dollars for their cage and toys.

Can you SHIP?

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
