Our Story

I've rescued and rehomed guinea pigs as a personal mission (not an official rescue).

Over the past 3 years, I've found wonderful homes for 15 guinea pigs in need.

I have tons of experience so I can share tips & tricks if you need help.

Rehoming because

I saved little Nico from a previous owner that kept him in a fish tank :(

We got him home and upgraded his living situation to a 2x5 C&C Cage with a Zoomie Loft and boy does he love to do zoomies at night. He's super-fast!

He's very young and we've been working with him daily to get used to being held and spoiling him with love and quality food (pellets, hay and veggies).

He's such a sweet boy and I want him to find a new home where he will be loved and cared for appropriately.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!

Free to Good Home is NOT allowed. You can select "Fee negotiable."

Surrender to a Rescue?

If you are rehoming, please use this site to create a listing. It works! Many rescues are full and reserve openings for pulling from shelters. That is, if you have a guinea pig rescue near you. There aren't that many across the country.

Feeling Desperate? In a hurry?

Never "release" your guinea pigs outdoors. Domesticated pets will not "survive in the wild." It's a painful death sentence. Take your pets to your local city or county shelter, animal control, SPCA, or Humane Society where they will likely be adopted out.
