Our Story

Peruvian and Texel Brothers re-home

We got our boys, Frankie and Charlie, in March 2022. They have been best friends since birth. They love treats and getting their monthly grooming!

We are selling our home and downsizing to a smaller place. Our piggies had their own room with a fantastic setup. Unfortunately, we won't be able to accommodate their needs at our new place.

We are only willing to rehome them if the owner can, at minimum, maintain their current living standards. We have plenty of supplies and infrastructure to give away to help that process for a new owner.

They require maintenance. A LOT. -Monthly haircuts and nail trimmings -Fresh vegetables every night -Hay and pebble refill twice a day -Nightly cage cleaning

Please message me only if you know you can maintain this routine. Owing piggies is not an easy job and requires a lot of attention. Rehoming them breaks my heart, but it will make me feel a lot better knowing they are going to parents who can love and care for them.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!

Surrender to a Rescue?

If you are rehoming, please use this site to create a listing. It works! Many rescues are full and reserve openings for pulling from shelters. That is, if you have a guinea pig rescue near you. There aren't that many across the country.

Feeling Desperate? In a hurry?

Never "release" your guinea pigs outdoors. Domesticated pets will not "survive in the wild." It's a painful death sentence. Take your pets to your local city or county shelter, animal control, SPCA, or Humane Society where they will likely be adopted out.
