Our Story

We adopted Ruby Rhod (darker) and Rudder (tricolour) from a pet rescue a couple years ago. They are sweet boys who love fresh veggies and head pets. They are well taken care of, but unfortunately do not get a lot of attention. They are curious and trusting of people and will come up to the side of the cage to say hello (and beg for treats). Rudder does not like to be picked up, but Ruby doesn't mind it as much. I think they would both benefit from more hands on attention and over time will become more comfortable. Adoption fee includes the entire set up (C&C cage, fleece liners, hideys, food dishes, water bottles, etc as well as our stash of hay and pellets).

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!

Surrender to a Rescue?

If you are rehoming, please use this site to create a listing. It works! Many rescues are full and reserve openings for pulling from shelters. That is, if you have a guinea pig rescue near you. There aren't that many across the country.

Feeling Desperate? In a hurry?

Never "release" your guinea pigs outdoors. Domesticated pets will not "survive in the wild." It's a painful death sentence. Take your pets to your local city or county shelter, animal control, SPCA, or Humane Society where they will likely be adopted out.
