Sweet Bonded Pair with Full Setup
Our Story
đź’› Reason for Rehoming We recently welcomed our baby girl, and while I had hoped to continue giving them the same level of attention, I have realized that I cannot provide them with the time and interaction they deserve.
This is not an urgent rehoming. I am taking my time to find the right home, where they will receive love, attention, and proper care.
I am looking for a loving new home for my two guinea pigs, James and Mireille.
They have both been raised with great care since they were babies (adopted under 3 months old), and they are now a well-bonded pair who must stay together.
💙James (male, brown, neutered by a veterinarian in Tulare – I have the paperwork) is about 1.5 years old. He is very sweet, calm, and cuddly. He enjoys being held and is very food-motivated—he gets especially excited at mealtime and loves to “popcorn” when he’s happy.
🩷Mireille (female, latte, about 9 months old) has a playful and spirited personality. She is a bit more independent and doesn’t like being picked up as much, but she absolutely loves gentle scratches and will “purr” when you pet her. She has a funny little personality and keeps things lively, but they have never fought and get along beautifully.
🏡They are used to a quiet, adult home and are not accustomed to young children. Guinea pigs are delicate animals and not like dogs or cats—you don’t “play” with them in a rough way. They require gentle, respectful handling. Because of this, I would prefer an adult home or a family with very attentive, responsible supervision.
🥗Their Current Care & Routine They live indoors only in a spacious C&C cage setup 2x4. Can be converted to a 2x5 + mezzanine
Their daily care includes: • Unlimited high-quality hay (Small Pet Select, 2nd cut Timothy Hay) • Small Pet Select pellets • Fresh vegetables every evening (variety including cilantro, parsley, cucumber, bell peppers, and small amounts of carrot) • Vitamin C treats daily
They are used to a consistent, high-quality diet and excellent care.
🛍️ What’s Included They will come with everything needed for a great start, including: • Full C&C cage setup (grids, coroplast base, optional loft/mezzanine) • Fleece liners (3 liners 2x4 + 2 liners 2x4) • Hideouts and accessories (tunnels, cuddle cups, hammoc, hay/litter boxes, dozens of pee pads various sizes…) • Water bottle x 2, bowls x 3 • Large supply of high-quality hay • Pellets and treats • Preventive care items and supplements (Critical Care, probiotics, Ivermectin, Urinary tract supplement, CBD cream for pain management,… etc.)
⚠️ Adoption Requirements • Must stay together (bonded pair) • Must be in an at least 2x4 c&c cage • Gentle handling required • Not suitable for young children without close supervision • Proper diet and care required
I may ask a few questions to ensure it’s a good fit.
🏖 Bonus If you ever travel or need help, I would be happy to take them back temporarily for short periods (for example during vacations).
