Two Female Guinea Pigs and all Items Required

Our Story

I got Mac and Ducky a few months after getting divorced. It was the first road trip my kids and I took just the three of us. We went out to visit my dad, who had gotten guinea pigs. My kids loved them! They asked if we could get some and after talking it through and a 4 hour drive across the state, we got Mac and Ducky, and the kids got to name their pig and help take care of it. I was so excited to be able to make decisions like that by myself, without worrying about anyone else or what they thought.

I didn't think about my dogs however. Two of my dogs have tried getting to the pigs to eat them, like they do with bunnies that occasionally get in the yard. Up until recently, my now ex-husband had dealt with those so I hadn't thought about it. Although my son says it will break his heart (which he will get over quickly like 5 year olds do), I've decided to re-home the pigs. It's been months and my dogs still try to get in the cage if they have the chance. I think it would be best if the pigs went somewhere they would be safe.

Both pigs are female and about one year old.

It would include a 2'x4' cage with a top, a wooden hideout and plastic circle hideout, both paper bedding (over 70 liters of bedding) and fleece liners, hay and pellets, 2 hay bags, some small toys and some treats, a water dispenser and a pellet dispenser, food bowl, and a litter box which they are not trained to use but do use sometimes.

$150 for both pigs and all items required to start out, except fresh vegetables. That's 1/3 the cost of supplies that are included.
