Two year old short-hair male for rehoming
Guinea pig info
Rehoming because
Teddy is a sweet (although shy at first), 2 year old Guinea pig. I pet sit him all summer and I’ve truly enjoyed watching him come out of his shell and become receiving of affection, and greeting me at his grids for head pets and chatting. The family I had pet sit for decided a few weeks after dropping him off to me (to temporarily take care of) that they no longer wanted him. I agreed to keep him in because I knew how to care for Guinea pigs and I’d already been caring for him. However, I do have a herd already and a small apartment, and planned for this to only be a temporary solution until I found him a loving, permanent home. What I’ve found out about him in the almost 6 months we’ve spent together:He loves his nightly salads and veggies, and will become very excited as he sees/hears you walk into the room with them.
He prefers to eat his peppers thinly sliced, or won’t eat them.
He’s absolutely loves head rubs/petting and will stand still with his little content expression for minutes for those head and ear rubs.
He doesn’t live well with other males, but loves to be near my females enclosure and watch them through the grids lol.
He likes tunnels over hidey houses.
He loves enrichment, and needs its, as he is still quite young and has energy.
He really likes to be spoken to and interacted with- which I don’t think he has a lot of in his last home. He’s grown quite excited and receptive of being spoken to, petted, and hand fed treats.
He doesn’t come with an enclosure, as I wasn’t prepared to take in another Guinea pig, and had to use spare enclosure parts from my piggies. But, he does need space and at least a 2x4 enclosure- NO pet store cages.
Must meet in chapel hill.
