Our Story

My name is Ziggy! I am a 6 month old male American tri-color Guinea pig and I can’t wait to be your new best friend! I love to play with my favorite people, especially after they give me my favorite foods (romaine lettuce and green bell peppers)!! I am a very curious guy but sometimes I get nervous when people walk up to my crate too quickly, so I would prefer an enclosure above ground. I like to be pet, but it may take me some warming up before you can hold me! I also would maybe like another guinea pig friend down the line to keep me company!

Rehoming because

I volunteer at an animal shelter and this little guy has been there for a bit and was in a very small crate. He looked so sad and was always very curious about people, not nervous. I decided to foster him for the time being so he could have more space to roam, however, I can’t keep him because I travel for work and can’t give him the time and attention he deserves.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
