Our Story

Checkers and Penelope were born September 8, 2023 to Moonpie and Buchee. These sisters are a bonded pair. Moonpie and Buchee were found abandoned at a local pet store and I took them home the same day. Unbeknownst to me, Moonpie was pregnant and later gave birth to four healthy piggies.

Rehoming because

I rescued 4 guinea pigs that were found abandoned. Three of the guinea pigs were pregnant. I currently have 11 guinea pigs living in 7 large habitats. I am struggling to care for all of them. I love them all so much and it's difficult to offer them for adoption. I work full time, care for 16 rescued cats, one rescued dog, and actively support community cats TNR. I am looking to re-home some of the piggies to make the workload more manageable.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
