2 Male Adult Guinea Pigs Need Rehoming

S Updated

Our Story

Their names are Gene (Abyssinian breed) and Bosco (American breed). They are named after characters from Bob's burgers. I'd say that Gene definitely fits Gene's personality on Bob's burgers, and Bosco? He's more shy and reserved but LOVES TREATS!

I got Bosco on June 15, 2024 as a baby/when he was still very young. I got Gene November 24, 2023 as a baby/when he was still very young.

I truly love them and their personalities. Bosco is my WHEEKER! He knows the sound of the refrigerator drawer opening means veggies! Gene on the other hand chews on the cage bars when excited. I merged their names together and say "BEANS" and they know that's veggie time. I keep their nails trimmed the best I can, they are really good about letting me do them and you can also see their quicks. I truly love these guys, and I want them to go to a good home that will take care of them. I do think they would be open to more friends, neither are really aggressive. I'd say between the two, I do think that Gene is more dominant. Gene was paired with my other guinea pig, Peanut (who passed from old age), and Peanut was more dominant.

Rehoming because

Due to a recent breakup and life changes, I’m no longer able to give my guinea pigs the time, attention, and financial care they deserve. I love them deeply and this is a very difficult decision, but I want to make sure they go to a home that can meet their needs better than I can right now. They’ve been well cared for and are used to regular interaction, quality food, and enrichment. I’m looking for a loving, responsible home that understands guinea pig care and can give them a stable environment.

They come with all their stuff.
Depending on the rehoming timing, I may have an abundance of bedding, hay, and food. But any extra or that I have will be given to you.
For sure will be provided:
-Mid West Homes for Pets Guinea Habitat Plus Guinea Pig Cage by Midwest w/Top Panel(They don't need it but I have it), 47L x 24W x 14H Inches
-Liner for this (slightly used - I mostly line the bottom of it with pee pads and just take those out to clean)
-A small netted "cage" for play time out of the kennel.
-2 water feeders
-2 houses they use
-A smaller cage for TRANSPORTATION ONLY! Probably 18" x 12" hard bottom cage
-some toys

$100 adoption fee due to all the things they come with.
& I want them to actually go to someone who will 100% take care of them!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found.
