Meet Mouse & Harlequinn – Two Special Guinea Pigs Looking for Loving, Knowledgeable Homes
Mouse and Harlequinn are two well-loved guinea pigs with a truly unique story. They were originally adopted as companion animals to bring comfort to a remarkable woman—an accomplished neurosurgeon battling cancer. During her time with them, they received exceptional love and attention. After her passing, their care was unfortunately disrupted. But when it became clear they might be given away without consideration for their wellbeing, our family stepped in.
They were safely transported all the way from Tulsa, OK to Seattle, WA by car where they’ve been cherished ever since. For the past year and a half, they’ve lived in a cozy, well-maintained environment with top-notch care. Their diet is tailored to their needs with fresh produce and premium timothy hay. Their home is cleaned weekly, they are bathed monthly and they’re given plenty of enrichment to stay happy and healthy.
About Harlequinn: The long-haired beauty of the pair, Harlequinn has a calm disposition and a clean bill of health, aside from mild weekly tummy massages to help with occasional gas. He gets routine checkups every 6–9 months, is calm and enjoys his spa days and leafy greens.
About Mouse: Mouse is a sweet short-haired boy who has a history of bladder stones. A large one was removed successfully a year ago, and with proper care—including biannual imaging—he can continue to thrive. He’s silly, charming, and very food-motivated!
Due to recent changes in our housing situation, we’re heartbroken to be seeking a new home (or homes) for them. While we would love for them to be adopted together, Mouse and Harlequinn do not get along and must be housed separately if adopted by the same family.
We are looking for serious, responsible adopters only—people who understand the commitment and potential medical costs involved in caring for guinea pigs. Experience is a plus, but what matters most is your willingness to provide a safe, loving, and attentive home.
We’re happy to provide all of their current supplies, remaining food, and detailed care notes to ensure an easy transition.
If you’re ready to give one or both of these deserving little ones a forever home, please reach out. We’d love to hear about your setup and your experience with guinea pigs!
