Edward - silver agouti Abyssinian boar

Our Story

Eddy is a beautiful silver-coated, rosetted, healthy and strong, five-month-old guinea pig (also called cavy.) He was born on October 27, 2024. He is currently a little over two pounds and is likely at his mature weight. It's the same cavy in all the photos, just indoor light vs. outdoor light. He's a lovely guy!

He's a sweet boy with people -- never bites, loves head rubs. He will pretend not to want to be picked up, but once you do pick him up, he melts in your arms and looks up at you with those big, gorgeous brown eyes. He's very content to snuggle on your lap with his head under your arm. It's adorable.

He loves carrot leaves, dandelions, and green peppers. Eddy has kinda long hair compared to American cavies, but it doesn't need grooming. He keeps himself clean. His fur is fun to pet, with all those lovely rosettes!

We will send him with transition food, some of the hay he's used to, and lots of love. He's a very good boy.

Note - I don't typically answer calls, but I do read texts.

Rehoming because

We adopted him together with his older full-brother, Frank. Until recently, Frank had been bigger and both Eddy and Frank agreed that Frank was the dominant cavy. But Eddy just got bigger. And they have started fighting :( It's Frank who is the instigator. Neither of them is aggressive at all with people, including our young children. But we don't have enough space to house them separately long term and obviously, we don't want them getting hurt.
