Male Abyssinian Guinea Pig Needs a New Home

L Updated

Our Story

Oreo came to us as a companion for our female guinea pig. Unfortunately, the person who dropped him off knew nothing about caring for piggies and told us he was a female guinea pig that was 2 years old. He is in fact a MALE and we are unsure of the age but he may be around 2. His nails were extremely overgrown (working on fixing them) and so his toes are a bit sideways but otherwise he is in good health and is still able to run and climb without issue. He was also SO shy and skittish but has already gotten much more comfortable with humans and another piggy (through the cage). He doesn't bite and loves gentle scratches under his chin and between the ears. Unfortunately, we wanted a female to bond our current female and don't have space to keep two separate cages long term. We are looking for a GOOD home for Oreo where he will be loved and cared for properly. $30 rehoming fee and he will come with the current cage we have for him.

Rehoming because

Was given to us by someone who couldn't care for him telling us he was a SHE (we have another female at home) and unfortunately that was not the case. We cannot keep two separate cages due to space limitation in our home.
