🐹 Sweet, Bonded Pair of Male Guinea Pigs 🐹
Our Story
I am looking for a loving new family for my two boars, Toast and Capy. They are approximately 1.5 - 2 years old, un-neutered, and are a bonded pair who must stay together.
PERSONALITY They are very sweet, tame, and used to being handled, particularly Toast - he will willingly relax in your lap or on your shoulder. Capy is funny and likes to try and stand up to see you when you come to the cage and he thinks you have food. Both boys get very excited when they get their Timothy hay, pellets, or other treats / veggies served, and will hop about the cage excitedly! They are very fun to watch. Both boys are healthy, active, and eat well.
IDEAL HOME Someone who understands that guinea pigs need space (minimum 10.5 sq ft for two males). Someone willing to provide unlimited hay and fresh veggies daily. An indoor home only. A home with no female guinea pigs - we had females living in the same home (not the same room) - and the boys would try to escape their enclosure and also started to bicker. A bonded pair of males can instantly be broken if girls are around!
Rehoming because
This is a heartbreaking decision, but I recently had to downsize my home. Unfortunately, my dogs are too fixated on the guinea pigs and have begun trying to get into their enclosure, and I do not have a safe space indoors to keep them. At the moment, they are safe in our garage, but it's not a fair tradeoff for them and could be dangerous if the weather starts to get extreme. For the safety and stress-free living of Toast and Capy, I need to find them a home where they can be safe and relaxed.Timing

But I want THAT one!
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
