I have two female guinea pigs who I have had for three years, though they were housed with someone else before I got them, so they may be older (4 years old is the max I would say they are, though Cocoa is younger than Butters). Neither guinea pig is spayed. Cocoa (Coconut) is a mixed dark/light brown short-haired piggie. Butterscotch (Butters) is a long-haired White/Dark Brown/Light Brown piggie. They have been housed together in the same cage for almost all of their lives (my mom recently seperated them into side-by-side cages because she said Butters was "bullying" Cocoa, but there have never been any serious aggression from either pig towards the other - it is more of a dominance issue).
Cocoa is shy, and currently tolerates only being held for a short time - she is a nibbler. Butters is very bold and "sassy" but will not disagree to being held once you catch her. Neither piggy has ever deliberately bitten anyone. Both love vegetables (carrots and lettuce are their favorites).
They can come with 1 cage (2'x4') w/ a removable top and 2 homemade fleece liners that fit the cage (if you don't prefer paper bedding, which I cannot provide). I can also supply the rest of a bag of pellets and timothy hay, as well as 2 pigloos, food dishes, and water bottles.
I love my piggies and would have loved to keep them, but the lord has different plans in store. The last thing I can do for them is ensure they go to a loving family who will keep them happy.
I am asking for a $60 rehoming fee so I know that they are not an impulse buy. I would prefer that they also go to someone with at least moderate guinea pig experience (though this is not a definitive requirement) :)
Please feel free to contact me for more information via email (email@example.com) as I am more likely to answer email than phone due to being in class during the week.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
