Dawn recently lost her bonded partner Dusk. We just want her to be happy and with other piggies. We do not intend to adopt any new pigs into our home and hoping someone else can provide her a happy life with other piggies.
Dawn is a 2-year-old female purchased from the pet store in Sept 2020 along with her sister piggie Dusk. Dawn is usually pretty quiet and sweet. She likes to explore and eat carrots. She's not a super fan of being cuddled but tolerates being held/handled. She's has a pretty good life, lots of space and habitats and toys. We are not in a rush to re-home her but worry she will be lonely without another piggie friend. Looking for someone who already has piggies and wants to add one more.
Dusk sadly passed away the week of Sept 18th. I recommend nobody adopt Dawn until at least 1-2 full weeks passes to ensure Dawn is healthy and has no lingering sickness from her previous partner. So she should be ready to adopt by Oct 1 (unless you plan to quarantine her yourself, then feel free to adopt her sooner). We just want all piggies involved to have good healthy lives!
Re-homing fee of $20. We likely also have food/hay/etc that we can provide as well. I was planning to keep our habitat and bedding in case we decided to have small animals in the future but depending on situation, maybe I could sell that as well. It was around $200 for the habitat.... I am expecting people who already have piggies to probably not need any of that, though.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
But I want THAT one!
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
