Rusty the Abyssinian Guinea
Rehoming because
I got Rusty for my daughter but I honestly didn’t do my research. My daughter thinks he is too much work and I have found myself having to take care of him mostly but he isn’t getting handled as much as he should and I know guineas do better in pairs which 2 is not possible for us. I didn’t realize they need runs and all the extra care they need..my plate is already over flowing between work, family , two dogs and 2 cats. He deserves to go to a good home and be properly taken care of And socialized.Our Story
Rusty is a male, Abyssinian Guinea pig. I don’t know how old he is..he was skiddish when we first got him but he is curious and sweet and definitely comes around when I bring him his daily fresh food. He talks a little and will tolerate being picked up but he will nimble at you like he wants to be put down - I respect his wishes and will pet him and do as little to stress him out as possible. He is alone and really needs a buddy but that is not an option for us. I wouldn’t get a female Guinea for obvious reasons and I dont have the time to monitor to males to make sure they don’t hurt each other until they accept each other. I am asking $150 rehoming fee but that includes everything, the cage, the run, his hideaways, toys, new fleece blankets, fleece play mat, food, vitamins, a new water dispenser etc.

Can you SHIP?
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
But I want THAT one!
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
