Laverne and Penelope are sisters. They were born in October of 2019. We adopted them as babies along with their mom, Bernice. She was accidentally sold with a male guinea pig and was less than a year old when she had her babies. They take a while to warm up to people they're unfamiliar with, but with time they will approach you and let your hold them. They love to burrow in long hair and snuggle. Speaking of hair, they are long haired and require regular brushing, sanitary trims as well as monthly nail trims and ear cleaning. They are all in good health, with the exception of some dry skin issues with Bernice. She has to occasionally be bathed with medicated shampoo and we use coconut oil for moisturizer. They get continuous Timothy hay, Timothy hay based pellets and we feed them leafy greens, mostly green leaf and romaine lettuce, bell peppers and various guinea pig safe veggies for dinner. Please consider adopting them! We are asking a rehoming fee and references.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
