Piggy Info

Rehoming because

She does not get along with my herd

I adopted this beautiful guinea that was rescued from a hoarding situation. I have had her for less than 2 weeks. I would like to keep her, but unfortunately she does not get along with my herd that has already been established (all adults). I've tried a couple times to introduce, and no luck...it almost leads to fights. She will do best to be paired up with a baby guinea versus adults. She needs nail trims, a bath, Veterinary health check-ups. I prefer this guinea pig to go to someone that has previous GUINEA PIG EXPERIENCE and PATIENCE. Preferably NOT FOR CHILD, because she is super skittish and need some work to tame.

MUST be kept with another guinea, preferably a baby...and NOT alone.

MUST HAVE LARGE CAGE such as a C&C or Midwest. Please NO CAGES from Petsmart or Petco (too small!).

About Guinea Pig
- Abyssinian
- Color: Orange
- She is submissive
- VERY Shy and skittish
- Runs away when trying to catch
- Is uneasy when you hold her
- REQUIRES work, time and patience to tame her
- Hides most of the time
- About 1.5 - 2 years old (approximately)
- Rehoming Fee $20

Although you will need time and patience to tame her, she is such a BIG a SWEETHEART and will wheek for veggies. I am positive that once she gains your trust, she will be the perfect pet! Message me with any questions.

Can you SHIP?

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
