Meet Moose and Charlie!
These guinea pigs are bonded males, but keep in mind they are adolescents so they do argue every once in a while when one gets in the other's space. They have never fought with each other, and we have no reason to believe they won't get along for the rest of their lives.
Moose is vocal and friendly. He will week when he is hungry or excited (which is usually because he hears bags crinkling and thinks it's food) and come right to the edge of the cage to greet you. He enjoys being held and getting head scritches, but he doesn't like the process of going from the cage to your arms so he may try to run away!
Charlie is more introverted and prefers to hang out in his hut more often, but he is easier to catch and also enjoys being held. Charlie is more likely to eat from your hand and likes a variety of snacks. Cucumbers are one of their favourites and Charlie seems to love oranges.
Neither of them bite but they do love to play with their hay and make a mess of the cage. We have a rabbit-sized cage for the both of them which comes with fleece covers and a play pen. They also come with two fiddle sticks colorful huts, a hay log, 2 water bottles, and a food bowl for pellets. I believe we still have the original plastic pieces that came with the cage (the hay rack and platform/hideout) we just didn't like them for our Guineas. The pen moves around on wheels so it's easy to clean out and relocate. The base separates from the top of the cage which makes for simple cleaning, but we prefer to leave it in and just use a scoop since we have paper fiber bedding and we find it easier to use that way.
If you adopt our piggies, we'll send anything else we have left with them, including the bedding, hay and pellets.
If you have any questions please let me know! Text is the best way to reach me, followed by email, but I don't answer the phone to unknown numbers most of the time.
Can you SHIP?
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
But I want THAT one!
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
