We are rehoming our guinea pig because we found out after having Our guinea pig at home for a few months that our son Is highly allergic to him and the hay that he eats and my wife’s asthma has been aspirated due to his dander and bedding. Now our poor little guy is downstairs, and doesn’t get all the attention that he deserves. My daughter and I hang out with him as much as we can, but I don’t think it’s enough. So we would love to find a home where someone can be around him all the time without having the risk of aspirating asthma or allergies!
The name of our guinea pig is Augustus Blackfoot, but we call him GusGus for short. He is a black and white guinea pig, we’ve only had him for a few months and we got him when he was very little. He is very sweet, and loves to come out and bebop around the house. We have an open play area for him that has fence sides but is open on the top and also a full sealed cage for travel or sleeping. lots of fun toys and tunnels that he loves to run through.
We found out a few months after having him in the house that my son was highly allergic to the hay that he eats and also that my wife’s asthma was becoming aspirated from the guinea pig bedding and perhaps his dander. So poor GusGus ended up moving from the upstairs to our downstairs living room, where he’s not getting the same attention that he used to get. My daughter and I try to spend as much time as we can down there but honestly we have realized that he deserves more attention then we can give him now. So we’re looking to find him a good home or have someone that doesn’t have any allergies or asthma they would love to have the sweet little boy. We have cages, and all the things needed for him that we would love to supply whoever adopts him.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
But I want THAT one!
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
