Pumpkin Needs a Friend

A Updated

Our Story

We got our two piggies in March 2020 when our youngest was struggling with depression. The two brothers, Spice and Pumpkin, came to us when they were small enough to fit in my husband's hand. We watched them grow and they were very helpful to our child. Unfortunately, in late February we found Spice had passed away. He had no signs of illness, so we waited to see if Pumpkin had any problems. It has been well over 4 weeks and Pumpkin is just fine. Wheeking for his breakfast in the morning and his veggies at night! We know that guinea pigs are herd animals and it would be best for Pumpkin to have some company. Our child now has a dog that they are training to be a service dog for their needs. This takes away from the time they would spend with Pumpkin and any other guinea pig. It would be better if we can find a new herd for Pumpkin where they are given all the love and attention they deserve.

Rehoming because

Pumpkin's brother passed away unexpectedly in late February. Rather than get another guinea pig, we would like to find a new herd for him so he will not be lonely.
