Our Story

We initially rescued our first guinea pig, S’more, who was in very poor health. The vet only gave him weeks to live, but with some TLC he lived out his golden days with tons of love, hay, and veggies for more than a year. We got him a cage mate, Toasty, soon thereafter, who just recently passed away. Since, we’ve gotten 3 other guinea pigs (Gandalf, Frodo, and Sam) but due to my wife’s declining health, we’ve made the difficult decision to put them up for adoption. We are looking for a a new loving home for Gandalf.

Rehoming because

My wife has severe asthma which has worsened recently, and the hay and allergens quickly cause flare ups. We have recently rejoined our other two who were bonded, and would like to find a home for Gandalf with a cage mate. He is about 1 1/2 years old, very friendly and has never had any behavioral or health issues.

Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.

But I want THAT one!

Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
