Bruce is a handsome three year old male abyssinian. He loves chin rubs, carrots and his buddy Seymour, an adorable american male that stands around half a year old. They are joined at the hip and do everything together, whether it be munching on delicious timothy hay, or destroying a toilet paper roll (for funsies, of course). That being said, they will only be sold together.
I will only adopt out to a family that obviously knows the fundamentals of guinea pig care, and can provide my angels with the best possible life. Owners with previous experience with guineas are preferred, but not mandatory.
I will require possible adopters to house my darlings in only c&c cages, as this is what they have known the majority of their life. They currently live in a 2x4 grid, but a 2x3 is also acceptable. If, by any chance, you do not have a c&c cage, I am open to selling my current one. It is hot pink with tall ends to prevent lots of hay or bedding falling out. Speaking of bedding, they have used both fleece and paper bedding! I'm not quite sure if they have a preference, but they are comfortable with both.
As for diet, Bruce and Seymour eat 1/4 cup each of Oxbox adult guinea pig pellets in the morning, a cup of veggies each at night, plus an unlimited amount of fresh timothy hay (I buy from an Etsy supplier known as "Fay's Pet Hay", but Oxbox Western Timothy Hay works too). For veggies, they love romaine, kale. cilantro, parsley, carrots, tomatoes, butterhead lettuce, wheat grass, and... pretty much everything else that is safe for guinea pigs. For the occasional treat, strawberries and blueberries are a crowd favorite!
If you have any questions concerning my lovely boys, feel free to send me a message. I will try to respond ASAP.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
