The long and short of it - I had recently purchased a male baby from a local Petsmart as I have fond memories of owning guinea pigs as a child. About a week later, I adopted a male adult from a local shelter to provide the baby with proper companionship. They have gotten alone well, despite some initial territorial disputes (if they are separated they will in fact squeak for one another). As the weather warmed up, my husband's existing allergies flared up and were only further exacerbated by the new arrivals' fur/dander, as well as their staple diet of timothy hay. We've done everything possible, from relocating the little guys to another area of the house to my husband upping his dose of allergy meds, only to find that it provided little to no relief. We know it's the guinea pigs causing an uptick in his symptoms as he finds relief if he's at work or otherwise out of the house. Needless to say, we have come to the tough decision that we need to rehome them (as I have discovered that I don't have many options for re-homing my husband, lol). Humor aside, I'm looking for someone to provide them with a good home, with all the attention, love, and care they deserve. Serious inquiries only - I know I listed this as a "soon as possible" re-homing request, but I will be diligent and patient in finding them the right home/owner that meets my standards. Asking $40 for both + supplies.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
