Gus is a ten month old Abby (DOB January 23,2017). He is very shy and skittish. It takes him a long time to warm up to people but with a lot of patience, he will start to take food from your hand and eventually start climbing into your lap for snuggles. Gus will find any spot possible to hide and will bolt of spooked. No sudden movements around this little guy. He needs a special person and buddy to make him feel safe and secure and could do with an extrabhiding spot or two in his cage and during floor time. During lap time, a big towel or cuddle sac will be your best bet to keep him from running. *HE WILL TRY TO JUMP OFF OF COUCHES AND BEDS TO GET AWAY* He is the son and neighbor to my other male Abby that is also looking for a home, but they do not get along. When Gus came into his own, it was clear they could not live together any longer. Gus has a dominant personality and does not back down. It would be best for him to be housed with a known submissive pig or a baby. Asking a small rehomeing fee and you can buy the full set up from me including Midwest guinea pig habitat, water bottle, food bowls, pigloo, oxbow pellets that are left and any hay and bedding that is left if needed.
Sorry, NO. Please do not contact the owner and ask about shipping guinea pigs. It is NOT possible. Please look for guinea pigs LOCAL to you! That's what this site is for--helping you find a guinea pig close to home to adopt and love.
Yes, that one is adorable and looks just like the one you must have for your very important reason or you will not be able to go on living. But, there are many more in your area that are just as wonderful. Perhaps they are not listed here, but they can be found. The piggy in need waiting for you near your own back yard might look a little different, but could melt your heart anyway!
